LGBTQ Youth

We're thrilled you're HERE!

Youth who identify as LGBTQ are at increased risk for suicide. New research from the 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health reveals that half (50%) of all LGBTQ teens aged 13-17 seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year, and 18% actually made a suicide attempt. That’s more than twice the rate of suicide attempts among all U.S. teens. This heightened risk highlights the need for heightened prevention efforts.

Visiting this page means you recognize signs of suicide or mental health distress in yourself or a loved one, and are looking for support. Connor’s Climb Foundation is proud to support LGBTQ youth, as well as their families, friends, and allies, by compiling the latest national, regional, and statewide resources aimed specifically at addressing the unique mental health challenges and needs of this community. We’re thrilled you’re taking this opportunity to look for help and support, and remember, YOU matter!
