Candice is a nationally known therapist, educator, prevention specialist, thought leader, and collaborator. Her passion is raising awareness around mental health and suicide and how to proactively engage in prevention and treatment. Prior to joining Connor’s Climb, Ms. Porter was the Vice President for Outreach & Partnerships at Screening for Mental Health, responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and guiding new program development and innovation. She is a visionary champion who helped the organization grow its mental health screening program and expand its suicide prevention efforts.
Candice is a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working in public and private settings. Her areas of clinical expertise include work with youth and families in residential treatment, outpatient and school settings. She provides extensive consultation and training for school districts, colleges, workplaces and organizations across the nation to help ensure successful implementation of effective prevention programming.
Candice holds a Master of Social Work from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego. She resides in Bedford, New Hampshire with her husband and two daughters.
