Connor’s Climb Nominated for IMPACT Award

Foundation Named One of 5 State Finalists!

Exeter, NH (May 2, 2023)- Connor’s Climb Foundation is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for the 2023 IMPACT (Inspiring More Philanthropy Across Charities Together) Awards for the state of New Hampshire! This annual award, presented by the Ruderman Family Foundation and supported by the Red Sox Foundation, provides Red Sox fans in the six New England states with the chance to nominate their favorite local non-profit organization for their opportunity to win a grant from the Red Sox Foundation.

At the conclusion of the nomination period, the Red Sox Foundation judges nominations to determine five finalists from each state and gives Red Sox Nation the opportunity to vote to decide which top 3 non-profits each receive a prize.

In 2023, the IMPACT Awards continue to focus on organizations that have demonstrated deep impact in raising awareness and improving mental health outcomes in their community. The three organizations with the most votes in each state will win a grant: $10,000 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place.

According to Connor’s Climb Foundation’s Marketing & Events Manager, Amanda Fontaine, “we are very grateful just to have been nominated for this amazing award. We work to promote mental health awareness and provide youth suicide prevention education throughout New Hampshire, and it is wonderful to see that our efforts are having a positive impact on the community and that we are so well-regarded by Red Sox Nation!”

This award has special personal importance for Connor’s Climb Foundation founder and Board president, Tara Holmes Ball, whose son, Connor, lost his life to suicide in 2011 and inspired the creation of the Foundation. According to Ball, “this one is special, because if Connor loved anything, it was the Red Sox.”

Please vote to support Connor’s Climb Foundation and help us continue to raise mental health and suicide prevention awareness! You can vote once per day per email address, so please show your support daily! You can vote at www.redsox.com/impact
